My wife is 61, past menopause (so we thought) but still has these occasional sweating episodes. She is not on any kind of hormone therapy and generally healthy.
The episodes generally happen in bed. They can happen spontaneously and can also be triggered by an external temperature change such as me snuggling up next to her. When I do that sometimes one minute later, BANG, she breaks out in this cold clammy sweat.
This doesn’t always happen but it is annoying and not conducive to physical relationships if you get the picture.
So what’s going on? Any women solved this problem?

Whenever I wake up in the morning, my sheets always feel kinda moist underneath my back and head. Is this from sweating during the night when I sleep? How do I stop it?

I used to have hypertiroids, but last time i took test level shows normal. But i still have axcessive sweating, i need to carry antipresperint w/me everyday and everytime, no matter what season, summer or winter. I use antipresipent for excesive sweat but it won’t work much. So what do u think might be helpfull to slow it down or what doctor should i turn in too?

So i play tennis and stuff, but i sweat so freaking much. ill be sweating 5 minutes in and after an hour, depending on the weather, ill have sweat reaching down to the top of my t shirt to almost down to my belly button. in cold weather im fine, but i sweat so much more than my peers and its pretty embarassing. Im an Asian with fairly dark skin and im not chubby.

So what i want to know is why and how to stop/reduce it?
maybe its genetics it very well could be, but i have this crazy notion that maybe my diet or lack of sleep could affect it too? i know water helps, but i drink plenty of water.

Does anyone know what i could do to reduce my sweating? it starts at my head and goes on down. not really my hands though.

It doesn’t make sense because if a person sweats excessively all the time it should be obvious that they have hyperhidrosis or some other medical condition that is out of their hands. Some people get discriminated not only in social life but in jobs. Some people can treat their hyperhidrosis and some can’t. I will just shake their hand and wash them afterwards. If you are wondering why I am on this subject I just read a website about people being ostrcized because of this condition. That is just immature because sweating shouldn’t be a big deal.
