I’m an 18 year old male. Doubt it has anything to do with medical issues.

I will be talking about maybe 4 parts of my body which include: forehead, armpits, chest, and back.

SCENARIO 1:
Let’s say I am exercising (nothing extreme) but enough to get my heart pumping. The first places to sweat will usually be my back and my chest, and sometimes if I am being really active, my forehead. However my armpits would stay dry. I would know because when I take off my shirt, there will be sweat stains here and there, around the pectoral area, behind the deltoids, except for the armpit area. It’s only when I get "seriously" active where at most, it might just get a little tiny bit moist under my arms, but never any sweat stains and nothing bad.

SCENARIO 2:
I am not exercising, but I am nervous or anxious. So you start sweating because of anxiety or whatever. In this situation, my back and chest does not sweat. The only place on my body that starts to sweat due to nervousness, being anxious, anxiety is my armpits. (strange eh?) And I sweat to the point where the hair clumps from the water and sometimes I feel it dripping off. Something else that has happened before too, but RARELY is that I would feel a drip sliding down my arm towards my elbow. That was long ago when I used to wear lose shirts, now I wear close fitted ones.

My question is, why does this happen?
This has always been the case with me.
Could it be that I am just not working out hard enough to the point where most areas of my body sweat? That would be weird though because I notice most people are the opposite.

I asked because today, I went driving to another city and there was a lot of traffic, more than I am used too. Me also being an intermediate driver (not an experienced) I got a bit nervous. It is around 88 degrees here, and I had the AC in my car on. But by the time I finally got home I had to change my shirt.

NOTE:
For those who like to read the question topic ONLY and skip reading my actual post, please do not recommend doctors, or products to use. I do not have an excessive sweating problem, I don’t care if I have sweat patches in public, and I am not embarrassed by them, I am not insecure, so before you think I am someone who is dying of humiliation and in need of a solution, I am not. I am just curious to know these certain sweat glands function the way they do.

Thank you to those who bothered to read my post! :D I know I will most likely not get any straight forward or correct answers, mainly ideas and "theories". But I guess it is worth a shot. Please remember this is not a medical issue that I am concerned with, I just have a curious question.
Thank you for the help attempt! Not sure what type of expert to look for…I’ll try automotive technician first!

My aunts wedding is in late June and I am going to be a bridesmaid . I sweat severely and I don’t want to soak my dress ;

Does anyone know of any techniques , deodorants or home remedies that would make me stop or reduce my sweating ?

Well I have a monroe piercing and my upper lip gets sweaty like between my nose and lips, yeah, and it really burns because the sweat is getting into this piercing that is not even a week old, so it’s like brand new and it burns! How can I stop this upper lip sweating? I keep wiping but I can’t get really close to the piercing without irritating it.

Hii everyone. Whether of not you have hyperhidrosis, I’d like you to gave a minute to answer my questions. Please no dumb answers.

So, anyways, I have hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating on my armpits), and I have basically become immune to antiperspirants, I know I haven’t tried every possible one, but I know it would be the same thing over and over again. Works at first, then I become immune.

So basically what my question is, is that why does everyone with excessive sweating first try antiperspirants, any & all kinds that they can find until one works. Then when it doesn’t, they take the drastic route & move to surgery? When there’s medications that can reduce, or stop your sweating. I have researched about a medication called Ditropan. It’s main cause is for some urinary/bladder problem, although many people have used it to stop their sweating…

I’ve basically given up on antiperspirants, and there’s no chance at all that I’m getting surgery, considering I’m 14.. I have a doctor app. on saturday to possible get a prescription for Ditropan.

Basically what I’m asking is: When you hear of people with Hyperhidrosis, you always hear of their treatment being either antiperspirants or surgery, so why does nobody try medications?
