I currently tak efexxor, and I’m not sure if that medication causes that or not. What do night sweats indicate?
Hii everyone. Whether of not you have hyperhidrosis, I’d like you to gave a minute to answer my questions. Please no dumb answers.
So, anyways, I have hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating on my armpits), and I have basically become immune to antiperspirants, I know I haven’t tried every possible one, but I know it would be the same thing over and over again. Works at first, then I become immune.
So basically what my question is, is that why does everyone with excessive sweating first try antiperspirants, any & all kinds that they can find until one works. Then when it doesn’t, they take the drastic route & move to surgery? When there’s medications that can reduce, or stop your sweating. I have researched about a medication called Ditropan. It’s main cause is for some urinary/bladder problem, although many people have used it to stop their sweating…
I’ve basically given up on antiperspirants, and there’s no chance at all that I’m getting surgery, considering I’m 14.. I have a doctor app. on saturday to possible get a prescription for Ditropan.
Basically what I’m asking is: When you hear of people with Hyperhidrosis, you always hear of their treatment being either antiperspirants or surgery, so why does nobody try medications?

Hi there,
around january my mother (Age:41) had reported severe symptoms of fever 2-3 times a day everyday (which eventually led to a back pain that almost felt like someone was twisting her spine, a very painful experience for her). so every time her fever rose in a day it evetually led to the back pian. It was controlled by taking paracetamol regularly, but eventuallly it got out of hand so we took her to the hospital.
after 10 days of trying to find out what was wrong, doctors eventually diagnosed her with glandular Tuberculosis. She was given TB medication and sent home and everything was find for the initial 3-4 months. Eventually her TB medicines were stepped down and this led to slight reoccurance of the symptoms. She started getting fevers, backaches and feeling of tiredness again (They were not as bad as it was in January, but still occured 2-3 times a day again)
We eventually took her to the TB specialist and he got an Xray done and he found that her chest lymph node was swollen. He took her off the TB medication (the course was nearly done anyway) and put her on corticosteroids and asked us to come back in 2 weeks.
So her TB medication was stopped and her corticosteroids medication began. While she was on this medication she felt completely fine again, but after we visited the doctor for another Xray of her chest, he found that the size of the chest node had not shrunk at all. He has put her on lighter dose of steroids for now but Im gettin worried.
Here is my question: Do chest lymph nodes swell after treatment for TB? if they do how long do they remain swollen for? I have looked up stuff like Hodgkins lymphoma, but thank God she does not have any night sweats/persistant high fever/swollen chest or groin lymph nodes or anything as such.
Her only symptoms are this feeling of weight on her chest as she eats, warm radiating feeling in her chest once in a while and back pain once in a while (Note: she is still on corticosteroids, is it possible they could be masking other symptoms?)
Thank you so much for your help.
Alright… im 26 years old and absolutely terrified of driving. being in a car as a passenger doesn’t bother me in the least, but as soon as i get behind the wheel i freak out. i get light headed, shortness of breath, and sweat like crazy. logic tells me that driving isn’t unrealistically dangerous, i know im not going to immediately die but its something that i cant shake. medication for anxiety makes me feel almost drunk so that’s out of the question, and hypnosis seems expensive… any suggestions? anyone else share the same irrational fear?
thanks for the answers so far, but i should emphasize that its an irrational fear. i dont have control over it. understanding that its irrational does nothing to hinder it. im well aware that its silly but i have a physiological reaction to the expirience thats unsafe when handling a 2 thousand pound machine.
