My doctor says he found that I have low TSH levels which may indicate that I have an overactive thyroid… but I don’t have any of the symptoms. Not a single one. Well, I mean I sweat a little more than usual but I’ve always been like that. And I lost weight because I started dieting and exercising… can I have hyperthyroidism without any symptoms?
I am a woman and I really do perspire excessively in my armpits to the point where I plan my clothing to hide perspiration. It is embarassing! It diminished considerably when I was on acne medication (Acutane) for 6 months. I am tall and thin and measure 5ft 9" and weigh 130lb. Could it be hyperactive thyroid? It is worse on certain days of my cycle when there are big changes in hormones levels.
I have hypothyroidism, meaning my thyroid is under-active. I’m wondering if anyone who has this condition has ever experienced excessive sweating (really just my armpits) as a side effect of the medicine (commonly known as levothroid/levothyroxine). I didn’t have this problem before I started the medicine. It sucks, though.
When I exercise or when the environment is warm I sweat a lot over the entire body. I know that it is healthy to sweat while exercising or while it is hot but the amount of sweat is abnormal by comparing to others in the same scenario. I sweat so much from my arms and legs will soak a large towel. This in turn causes electrolyte inbalance. I have had my thyroid checked and it was not the cause. Anyone have any ideas what may cause this? I appreciate your time and help.
i sweat so bad luckily no body odor ! it does not matter if it is winter summer inside in the ac or outside, i get extremely hot and the sweat just drips off me and clothes are wet, it takes about 15 minutes to cool, until then i feel like i am going to burn up, this happens several times a day. i get soooo hot i think it could be unhealthy what does one do
